Oh Roses. Seen as a difficult to grow high maintenance plant, I will guide you through basic rose care debunking this myth. I will share my favourite varieties to grow, how to prune different types (climbing/shrub), training climbers, fertilizing, pest control, winter care and more.
This is a two part workshop. The first workshop will happen late winter and will be a hands-on pruning guide. The second workshop will be in late spring when the roses are blooming and will be more a garden tour with cake. Because we always need cake.
You will take home a rose bouquet at the second workshop (if roses are available. If not a regular spring bouquet).
I have attended many garden workshops over the years and while some have been great I think many are missing the teaching component. As a University trained music teacher with 20 years experience teaching children to adults, I guarantee my workshops will be educational. Come prepared with paper and pen but I will also provide a printout with each session.
