And so it begins

And so it begins

The thought of writing a blog started a week after my son Theo was born. I had started puking my guts out only to soon realize that the hormones of pregnancy had destroyed my gallbladder. Then, again, when Theo was two months old, and screaming 24/7 (silent reflux colic baby anyone?) the thought crossed my mind. However, I was not in a position to write one. First, it would have either been me type-yelling (@#$@%@%!!!) or me cry-babbling away. Second, I wasn’t in a position where I could see the “light at the end of the tunnel” so I don’t think my post would have been much help to anyone.

But here we are, almost a year after Theo was born, and I finally feel ready to write. My idea for this blog is to write about the good and the bad. From my experiences of colic, cholecystitis (gallbladder disease), pregnancy loss to sleep training successes, Theo’s “firsts”, and more. Motherhood is such a large part of my life now and it has definitely come with its challenges and overwhelming positives.

Motherhood is not the only thing that “defines” me. This blog will also be a place for me to share my love of fashion and home décor. Which shouldn’t come as a surprise since the main website is a curated shop of my favourite home décor and fashion items. I love to change my house around (sorry Eric, AKA #Instahusband) so expect posts from documenting home renovations and styling to my insane DIY’s; they're definitely a must.

Let me know in the comments below what you’d like to see and read? As much as I might want to write about my insane love for Elijah Wood, that might not be what you want to read about? Or maybe it is and, in that case, next post is definitely a love essay for you Elijah.
